This all started six years ago when I was writing long meaningful posts on Facebook trying to cope with the loss of my mother. Several special people in my life, who could see that I was clearly struggling and using writing as a form of therapy, suggested I started a blog. I didn’t even know what a blog was really. But, desperation will drive you to do things you never imagined. So, I started https://deeperwaters.blog . It was one of the best decisions of my life. I’ve poured my heart and soul out in those posts. The writing helped me to cope and move forward.❤️

And then, a really painful incident happened in my life and I felt I couldn’t write about it specifically, but I needed to keep writing for my mental health. So, about a year and a half ago I started to write fiction. Smaller, shorter stories at first. But it quickly escalated into this story, “The Road Home.”

I’m so grateful.🙏🏻

I never dreamed when this journey started that it would lead me here. At 51, I can tell you for certain that a journey with God is anything but boring. And, it often leads to places we never dreamed. I wouldn’t trade a single moment of the very bumpy road it took to get right here, right now…. launch day with my first self published book.

Without my beloved blog followers cheering me on and lifting me up, I wouldn’t have made it. I would’ve quit a long time ago. Thank you to each and everyone of YOU who got us this far. This book belongs to you as much as me. ❤️

Many of you have already read the story, it was originally named “Blessed Assurance.“ But, the Lord it prompted me to change the name to “The Road Home“ before I published it. So, this story won’t be anything new for you; but, if you’re looking for a Christmas gift for someone who loves to read simple, fictional stories, this could be an option!👏🏻

Ecclesiastes sums up what I’m feeling so well this morning. Here’s the main verse I’m thinking of, if you have time, read verses nine through twelve of the fourth chapter. You won’t regret it.

Thank you just feels so inadequate. You guys really are the wind beneath my wings. None of this could’ve happened without you, God has used you greatly in my life.🙏🏻
