BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Exciting News!!!

Guys, this is such a hard thing to put out into the world.  It feels vulnerable and my heart is quite tender about it.

Many of you read my most recent novella that I published here and you gave me such good feedback.  Well, I finally decided to do what I’ve dreamed of for forever…

I AM PUBLISHING MY STORY!!!!!

Let me tell you the backstory…

A friend of mine told me about KDP, a publishing company that partners with Amazon that allows you to publish your own work. I never knew this was a thing, it was quite a God moment when I read about it and realized it was possible.   I thought long and hard about sending the story out to companies to see if anyone would be interested in it, but ultimately, I decided to do it myself.

It felt/feels right to me.

So, the story WAS named “Blessed Assurance:  A Story of Hope.”  I loved the name, but decided to rename it in case using the name of a hymn would get me into publishing world trouble.  And, I felt it needed to change to give the reader an idea of what the story is about.  I asked the Lord for the right name and I believe He gave me the PERFECT one!  So, the new name of my story is…

…drum roll please…

“The Road Home: A Story of Hope”

I LOVE the Lancaster family and hope to eventually turn this into a series.  So many ideas and dreams about it all.

I just passed the first phase of approval with KDP and hope to pass the second phase soon.  It’s a LOT of work to format and get it ready to become a book!  I am SO BLESSED to have a husband who’s proficient in Word, he has been so helpful.   And, I’m also SO BLESSED to have a son who’s a graphic designer.  Once I found the picture, and let me tell you, finding a picture that you can use without getting into publishing world trouble is no small thing!  But, I finally found THE ONE and my son created the cover.  I love it so much!   The cover is the picture on my computer I’m holding in the pic below.

Many of you have already read this story, but I’ve had many who’ve told me they would love to read it in book form, so HERE WE GO!

My VERY FIRST endeavor to officially publish my work.

My hope is to have it “go live” on Amazon in November, in time for Christmas!  I will keep you posted throughout the process.  If it all falls apart, I’ll let you know that too.  I’m taking a risk here; I’m walking out of the shallows into the Deeper Waters of faith praying it will go well and I’ll be officially published.   But, there’s always a chance it will all fail.  But if it doesn’t…

my story will be out in the world!

Ahhhh!!!

THANK YOU to everyone who’s read my work and encouraged me to press on.  This is only happening because of YOU!  YOU took the time to read from the very beginning when I didn’t know what I was doing.  YOU took the time to encourage me when I felt so inadequate.  YOU spurred me on with prayers and love.

THIS IS BECAUSE OF YOU!!!

I want to share all the excitement and JOY with each one of you.

My heart is so full.
